Khor Fakkan Square and Resistance monument

The Resistance Monument is located right at the town’s entrance. Perched on a hill that gives a great view of Khorfakkan Square, this monument pays tribute to those who stood against the Portuguese invasion back in 1507. You can still see traces of the Portuguese influence around Khorfakkan, and the path around the memorial is a fantastic spot to take in the town’s history. Plus, the monument’s unique curved design can be seen from various spots around the city.
