His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, visited the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
During his remarks, he reiterated the UAE’s dedication to playing a proactive role on the global stage by expanding opportunities, fostering inclusive growth, and envisioning a future characterized by shared prosperity.
This commitment is deeply rooted in the foundational principles of the nation, which emphasize meaningful engagement, genuine partnerships, and open dialogue, all aimed at driving global progress and enhancing lives worldwide. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also highlighted that under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE is focused on bolstering its economy and tourism sector through ongoing investments in top-tier infrastructure that provides outstanding services to travelers, with airports expected to accommodate approximately 150 million passengers this year. He pointed out that the participation of 166 countries and 55,000 professionals in the travel and tourism sector at ATM 2025 underscores the UAE’s increasing prominence on the global tourism landscape and the growing confidence in its contributions to this essential industry.
Furthermore, he noted the remarkable performance of the tourism sector, which welcomed a record 30.7 million international visitors in 2024, with total expenditures reaching around AED250 billion. H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid commended the efforts of all those who have contributed to establishing the UAE as a premier global destination for opportunities. He emphasized that exhibitions are not just temporary events but vital catalysts for growth and platforms that nurture partnerships supporting the global economy. He reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to fostering an environment that promotes collaboration, ensures success, and shapes a future centered on quality of life and positive international connections.
