Full Day Aswan Philae Temple and High Dam ( Private )

Today, we’ll embark on a journey through Egypt’s history with our knowledgeable tour guide.

We’ll start our day by visiting the Aswan High Dam, which is a large embankment dam situated on the Nile River in Aswan, Egypt. Construction started in 1960 and wrapped up in 1970. When it was finished, it became the tallest earthen dam globally, overtaking the Chatuge Dam in the United States.

Next destination will be  the glorious Philae Temple, which stands as a stunning symbol of ancient Egyptian culture, honoring the goddess Isis, who is cherished as the mother and guardian of Egypt. Nestled on Agilkia Island in the Nile River close to Aswan, this temple complex showcases a remarkable fusion of architectural splendor and rich historical importance.

After exploring Philae Temple, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

Our final stop for the day will be the Unfinished Obelisk ,

The Unfinished Obelisk in Aswan stands as a remarkable granite monument that was left incomplete. It holds the title of the largest known ancient obelisk, which was halted during its creation because of cracks that were found. This impressive structure provides a fascinating insight into the quarrying and engineering methods used by the ancient Egyptians.

After visiting the unfinished obelisk we’ll head back to your hotel.
